Alexander Technique Teacher Training
    A Comprehensive Guide

The purpose of this site is to provide comprehensive information about Alexander Technique teacher training courses. My name is Robert Rickover and I am an Alexander Technique teacher living in Lincoln, Nebraska. I also teach regularly in Toronto, Canada. When I began my own teacher training in the late 1970s, there were only a half-dozen or so training courses, most of them in London. Today there are probably close to a hundred, located in countries around the world.

Choosing to train as a teacher of the Alexander Technique involves making a major commitment of time and money - usually three years and many thousands of dollars. It also requires choosing the course that seems best for you. It is my hope that this site will assist you in your decision making, particularly as more information and suggestions by teachers are posted. If you are a teacher or training course Director, please click on this Note to Alexander Technique Teachers, Trainees, and Training Course Directors.

Training to become an Alexander Technique teacher was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life and I sincerely hope it will be so for you as well!
